About us...

Established in 2014 Portaferry Coastal Rowing Club has just completed its second St. Ayles Skiff "The Gunty Plucker" which now joins its sister skiff " The Gilpin". Both boats are named after fish found in the lough.

Based in Strangford Lough we can accommodate leisure rowing around the islands as well as competitive racing and training in preparation for regattas on the water and in our local Hub.

We welcome new members and often run "taster" sessions if interested contact us either via our Facebook page or on our contact us page.

Whatever your age or skill level, there's a place for you in the rowing club. Everything from a gentle row across the lough, to full on racing against other teams - you're sure to find something that suits you. We have junior members as well as seasoned veterans, and you'll always get a warm welcome either on a rowing day or at a social event!
