Well its finally over for another 3 years, and boy what a week it was. The Skiffie Worlds Championships were in Stranraer this year, just a hop and a skip over the water for us Northern Ireland competitors.
A number of club members took Gunty Plucker over for the week long racing and with lots of craic, community spirit and of course some rowing the club were able to compete and earn a very respectable 40th in the World of Coastal Rowing thanks to our small contingent of members and visiting rowers from other NI clubs.
Special mention should of course go to our member, Charlie who gained a silver medal in the U19 men when rowing with Strangford CRC.
All in all it was another fabulous coastal rowing event with friendship, community and fun at the heart of everything we did, and of course rowing i better mention rowing.
Roll on Skiffie Worlds 22
well done everyone and a great result in the rankings with such a small contingent
